Following the initial partnership in 2023, TAG Heuer has reunited with the racing-inspired fashion label Team Ikuzawa and the customization experts at Bamford Watch Department. The result is the Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa, a limited edition that brings the red-and-white livery of the iconic racing team to the popular 'glassbox' case format for the first time.

Design and Dial Details

The Carrera Ikuzawa adopts the mid-sized 39mm 'glassbox' case, measuring just under 14mm in thickness. The case is named for its dramatically domed sapphire crystal, which covers the raised dial flange in place of a traditional bezel. Despite vintage cues, the watch maintains a contemporary feel thanks to the clous de Paris dial texture and the depth of the glassbox construction.

The dial is a chronograph-first design, omitting the usual applied hour markers to highlight the sub-dials. The 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock features an exaggerated red-and-white roulette pattern, contrasting sharply with the white clous de Paris dial. The 'Team Ikuzawa' signature sits above the date window at 6 o'clock, echoing the placement of racing team logos on vintage Carrera chronographs.

Functionally, the Carrera Ikuzawa is a standard Carrera Chronograph, powered by the calibre TH20-10. This movement drops the running seconds sub-dial to create more space on the dial. It offers a reliable 80-hour power reserve and features a modern chronograph architecture with a column wheel and vertical clutch. The movement is visible through the caseback, though the view is partially obscured by the Team Ikuzawa and Bamford logos.
